The Woodlan Warriors and the Hamilton Heights Huskies squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but sadly the Woodlan Warriors had to settle for second. Their rough 55-31 loss to the Huskies might stick with them for a while. Woodlan's defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.
Woodlan's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Alyssa Anderson, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and two blocks, and Chloe Gaff who scored six points along with five rebounds.
Hamilton Heights was led to victory by Camryn Runner and Ella Hickok. Runner scored 22 points along with four steals, while Hickok scored 28 points along with six steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Runner has scored at least a third of Hamilton Heights' points. Katie Brown was another key contributor, scoring four points along with three steals.
Woodlan's loss dropped their record down to 18-9. As for Hamilton Heights, the victory (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 24-2.
Woodlan does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Hamilton Heights also has no future games currently scheduled.
