Zaiden Davis Goes Supernova in Centennial Victory
Zaiden Davis was instrumental in extending Centennial's winning streak to eight on Friday. Davis did his part (and then some), rushing for 104 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, while also throwing for 105 yards and two touchdowns for the 'W'.
Centennial pushed their record up to 8-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. Davis will have a chance to log another big game when he takes on Clovis on Friday.

Underclassman Junior Medrano Comes Up Big Against Clovis
Underclassman Junior Medrano came into Friday's match looking to prove himself and that's exactly what he did. Clovis had no answer to Medrano on Friday as he rushed for 138 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, and also threw for 33 yards and a touchdown.
The victory got Hobbs back to even at 4-4. Medrano and Hobbs will be playing at home against Organ Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Dylan Hergenreder Delivers Best Effort of Season
Alamogordo came up short on Thursday despite Dylan Hergenreder delivering his best game to date. Hergenreder rushed for 141 yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
Alamogordo is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8. Hergenreder and Alamogordo will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Clovis at 7:00 p.m. on November 1st.

Centennial Gets a Boost from Rios in 49-14 Victory
Centennial picked up their eighth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Rudy Rios. Rios was unstoppable, rushing for 52 yards and three touchdowns, while also catching a touchdown.
This year, Rios has run in 12 touchdowns while averaging 81 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging four rushing yards per game.

Tristan Davis Turns in Another Game with at Least Five Total Tackles
Tristan Davis continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his 20th-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least five total tackles. He picked up two sacks, forced a fumble, and made eight total tackles (4.0 for loss). He has become a key player for Hobbs: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two sacks, but 1-4 otherwise.
Unfortunately for Clovis, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Davis. When Davis last faced the Wildcats back in November of 2023, he made 13 total tackles (4.0 for loss).
