The Raleigh HomeSchool Hawks can finally bid farewell to their 13-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Friday. They walked away with a 54-44 win over Friendship Christian. Raleigh HomeSchool's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why Friendship Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Liam Willis. Despite the final result, he scored 17 points along with three steals. Willis is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Eugene Amadi, who scored six points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
Raleigh HomeSchool's win ended a eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-7. As for Friendship Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Raleigh HomeSchool will challenge Central Carolina Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Friendship Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against St. Thomas More Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
