WILLOWS, Calif. - the Honkers scored 28 points in the second quarter to secure a big 41-8 victory over Live Oak (Calif.) on Saturday.
Willows scored on a touchdown run by
Noah Enns, a
Chris Walter touchdown run and a passing touchdown in the quarter.
After taking the lead on a Enns touchdown run in the first quarter, WHS was up 34-0 at the half.
The Honkers expanded their lead to 41 points entering the fourth quarter. Willows' lone score in the quarter came on a punt return touchdown by Walter.
Live Oak's lone touchdown came on a run in the fourth quarter.
WHS came in allowing an average of 18.8 points per game this season.
The loss was the third in a row for the Lions.
In a Sacramento Valley game next week Willows (4-2) takes on Mt. Shasta, and Live Oak (2-4) will go up against Trinity also in a Sacramento Valley game.
