The Kennett Blue Demons are taking a road trip to face off against the Avon Grove Red Devils at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Avon Grove took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Kennett, who comes in off a win.
Kennett will bounce into Tuesday's game after beating Great Valley, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Blue Demons came out on top against the Patriots by a score of 8-3 on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Blue Demons.
Kennett got a great performance from Christian Scheibe as he tossed five innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. Scheibe has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Rex Bright was excellent, going 1-for-3 with four RBI and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Mason Santoro was another key player, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
Bishop Shanahan hit Avon Grove with a nine-run seventh inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Red Devils came up short against the Eagles, falling 13-6.
Aiden Kistler was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits.
At the plate, Andrew Simeone and Wyatt Holdren did some serious damage despite the final result: Simeone got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Holdren went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two RBI. Simeone has become a key player for Avon Grove: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-9 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Ian Schwing, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Avon Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Kennett, their record is now an identical 5-10.
Kennett couldn't quite get it done against Avon Grove in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 as they fell 11-8. Can the Blue Demons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
