Basketball Recap: Heartland Extends Winning Streak to Three

Heartland had won two straight games and Zach Stone did his part to make it three on Friday. The Heartland Mustangs simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Blue Ridge Christian Warriors 52-20 thanks in part to Stone, who went 9 of 18 on his way to 19 points and five steals. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game.

The team also got some help courtesy of Solomon Bollinger, who posted four points and seven assists. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played.

Heartland pushed their record up to 6-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32.8 points. As for Blue Ridge Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Heartland will head out to face off against Training Center Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Training Center Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62 points per game this season. Blue Ridge Christian and Cornerstone Family will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Cornerstone Family's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups.
