While losing is never fun, Morristown Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 497th, while Harrisville is ranked 94th).
Meanwhile, Edwards-Knox's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a rough 78-34 loss at the hands of Tupper Lake. Edwards-Knox was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-21.
Morristown Central's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Edwards-Knox, they dropped their record down to 3-14 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
Morristown Central strolled past Edwards-Knox in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a score of 63-47. The rematch might be a little tougher for Morristown Central since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
