The Wilsonville Wildcats can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They came out on top against Greenbrier by a score of 60-48. Given Wilsonville's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 36th in Oregon, while Greenbrier is ranked 222nd in Tennessee), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Greenbrier still got an impressive performance from Nolan Carson, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 18 rebounds. Carson is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Travarius Flood, who scored eight points.
Wilsonville's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Greenbrier, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.
Wilsonville will be playing in front of their home fans against Parkrose at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Greenbrier's road trip will continue as they head out to face Sycamore at 7:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
