Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Chavez was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 211 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Chavez's defense and their five sacks. Leading the way was Damarion Mcdonald with two. Another thorn in Bear Creek's side was Vernon Hall, who picked up a sack, forced a fumble, and made five total tackles (2.0 for loss).
Tokay's loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Chavez, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-2.
Everything came up roses for Tokay against Chavez in their previous meeting back in August of 2023 as the team secured a 39-0 victory.
