This season hasn't been kind to the CALS Early College Falcons, who are still winless after their tenth game. They fell 70-58 to ESAT on Tuesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
ESAT can attribute much of their success to Niel Gabriel Sanchez, who scored 23 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sanchez has scored all season. Jonah Vasquez was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
CALS Early College bumped their record down to 0-10 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home. As for ESAT, their victory ended a 12-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-5.
CALS Early College will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Alliance Bloomfield at 2:00 p.m. Alliance Bloomfield has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 5. As for ESAT, they will head out on the road to take on University Prep Value at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
