Even though the St. Martinville Tigers have not done well against the Opelousas Tigers recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. St. Martinville was the clear victor by a 70-47 margin over Opelousas. With that victory, St. Martinville brought their scoring average up to 52.7 points per game.
It was another big night for Makharee Narcisse, who scored 31 points along with 8 rebounds. The game was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Raytyrion Narcisse, who scored 17 points.
St. Martinville is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. As for Opelousas, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Martinville is on the road again on Saturday and play against Southern Lab at 4:00 p.m. on December 2nd. Hopefully Southern Lab focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 last Tuesday. As for Opelousas, they will head out on the road to face off against Lake Charles College Prep at 7:15 p.m. on December 11th.
