Blanche Ely is a perfect 10-0 against Dillard since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Tigers will venture away from home to take on the Panthers at 6:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Blanche Ely is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Florida's top teams: Nova, who was ranked 12th at the time (Blanche Ely was ranked 18th). The Tigers put the hurt on the Titans with a sharp 65-45 victory on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Blanche Ely's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Teriyah Mcfadden led the charge by going 7-for-13 on her way to 18 points in addition to eight assists and six rebounds. Mcfadden has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 21 times she's played. Aniyah Gooden was another key player, shooting 62% from the field en route to 16 points along with eight boards and four steals.
They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Blanche Ely was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They are 11-1 when they've passed the ball that well.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Dillard, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Hallandale 76-7. With the Panthers ahead 48-3 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Dillard's win came from a few key players that Blanche Ely will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Amaya Montgomery, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and ten steals. That's the most points she has posted since back in November of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaynae Gilbert, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and ten rebounds.
Blanche Ely's record is now 12-4. As for Dillard, their record now sits at 15-4.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Blanche Ely has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 32.8 boards per game. However, it's not like Dillard struggles in that department as they've been averaging 35.8 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Everything came up roses for Blanche Ely against Dillard in their previous meeting back in January of 2025, as the squad secured a 63-3 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
