Rich Township was led to victory by Samar Bures and Jayden Williams. Bures scored 15 points along with three steals, while Williams scored 23 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Williams has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Victor Brown, who scored seven points along with nine rebounds.
Rich Township is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for Joliet West, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rich Township won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Marian Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on January 14th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Illinois (Marian Catholic is ranked 73rd, while Rich Township is ranked 49th). As for Joliet West, they will be playing at home against St. Patrick at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. St. Patrick is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
