A Season-Best Effort from Dante Carr Leads Minersville over Nativity BVM
Minersville was led to victory by Dante Carr, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Carr rushed for 207 yards and five touchdowns on only 15 carries, and also threw for 177 yards and two touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 71-yard run.
This year, Carr has thrown 18 touchdowns while averaging 194.3 passing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had nine passing touchdowns.

Big Game from Carestia As Schuylkill Haven Won 81-6
Schuylkill Haven picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Niko Carestia. Pine Grove had no answer to Carestia as he rushed for 222 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries. Carestia's longest rush was for an incredible 73 yards.
Carestia might have his next game, a road matchup with Nativity BVM, circled on his calendar. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Carestia saw the Green Wave), he rushed for 169 yards and three touchdowns.

Shomper Made His Presence Known in Williams Valley's 33-0 Win
Williams Valley found a leader in Brady Shomper as the squad took down Marian Catholic on Friday. Shomper did his part (and then some), throwing for 256 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 passes, while also rushing for 49 yards for the 'W'.
Williams Valley pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Shomper will have a chance to log another big game when he takes on Shenandoah Valley on Friday.

Colton Reber Delivers Electric Performance Vs Pine Grove
Colton Reber's big game helped extend Schuylkill Haven's winning streak to seven on Friday. Reber did his part (and then some), rushing for 87 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries for the 'W'. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 61 yards.
For the year, Reber has run in 12 touchdowns while averaging 94.1 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after eight games last season, he had three rushing touchdowns.

Parker Hatter Makes Top Five
Rounding off our Top Five is Parker Hatter of Tri-Valley. Hatter picked up 54 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 37 yards.
The win was the third in a row for Tri-Valley, bringing their record for this year to 6-2. Hatter and Tri-Valley will be playing in front of their home fans against Minersville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
