The Hackensack Comets pushed their score all the way to 61 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 68-61 to Northern Highlands. Hackensack has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
It was another big night for Lucas Dipasupil, who scored 35 points along with five steals for Northern Highlands. That makes it four consecutive games in which Dipasupil has scored at least 25% of Northern Highlands' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Freddie Kanning, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.
Hackensack bumped their record down to 4-3 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Northern Highlands, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.
Hackensack will head out on the road to face off against Ridgewood at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Ridgewood presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Hackensack in New Jersey (Ridgewood is ranked 30th, while Hackensack is ranked 96th). As for Northern Highlands, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Ramapo at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Ramapo focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Tuesday.
