Softball Recap: Hillsboro Snags Third Win in Last Four Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Godley, Hillsboro was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They never let the Lincoln Tigers get on the board and left with a 21-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won ten matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

Brynlie Vantreese was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three stolen bases, and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Laci Forns, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Hillsboro was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .583. They are 15-2 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Hillsboro is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-10 record this season. As for Lincoln, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-8-2.

Hillsboro will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Tigers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Saturday.
