Basketball Recap: Ridgeview Global Studies Academy Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Caralyn Izzo and Claire Curry

Ridgeview Global Studies Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost to the Ridge Community Bolts on the road by a 32-13 margin.

Despite the loss, Ridgeview Global Studies Academy had strong showings from Claire Curry, who posted no points along with 11 boards and five blocks, and Caralyn Izzo, who earned no points. That's the most rebounds Curry has posted since back in December of 2023.

Leading Ridge Community to victory were J. Julmeus and P. Auguste. Julmeus had 14 points and seven boards, while Auguste dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds.

Ridgeview Global Studies Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Ridge Community, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.

Ridgeview Global Studies Academy has already played their next matchup, a 33-11 loss against Discovery on the 14th. As for Ridge Community, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 35-20 win against Bartow on the 14th.
