Spruce is 9-1 against the Spartans since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Spruce Timberwolves will be playing at home against the Samuell Spartans at 8:00 p.m. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Last Tuesday, Spruce ended up a good deal behind the Dragons and lost 58-39. Spruce has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Spruce's loss came about despite a quality game from Tionnie Williams, who scored 24 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Williams has scored all season. Taniah Williams was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Meanwhile, Samuell's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 12th straight loss. They fell just short of Adams by a score of 47-45. Samuell has not had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Spruce's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Samuell, they dropped their record down to 1-21 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home.
Spruce beat the Spartans 32-22 when the teams last played back in January. Does Spruce have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Spartans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
