The Rivera Raiders will venture away from home to square off against the Porter Cowboys at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

Anahy Gonzalez-Torres made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last three games she's played.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Porter). Everything went their way against Donna North on Tuesday as they made off with a 19-0 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Cowboys considering their two-run performance the matchup before.
Mia Sosa made a splash while hitting and pitching. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Sosa was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those four runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Gabby Sosa was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, five RBI, and two doubles. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Gabriela Grimaldo was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
Porter kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.6 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 8.8.
Porter's record is now 9-6. As for Rivera, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-14.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Rivera has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.4 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Porter struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 10.4 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
