Baseball Recap: Praise Academy Comes Up Short

Praise Academy came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Cornerstone Prep Academy, falling 11-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 21-8 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2019.

Zac Cheshire made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI. Cheshire is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

Praise Academy now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Cornerstone Prep Academy, their victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-4.
