Despite the defeat, South Choctaw Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore John Railey rushed for 47 yards and a pair of scores. The Rebels also got a significant boost from Gage Adams, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 83 yards.
The victory was the third in a row for Abbeville Christian Academy, bringing their record up to 12-1. As for South Choctaw Academy, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-5.
As of now, neither Abbeville Christian Academy nor the Rebels have any future games scheduled.
