The Sidney Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their seventh straight loss. They were dealt a 63-24 loss at the hands of Priddy. While losing is never fun, Sidney can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1504th, while Priddy is ranked 672nd).
Priddy found their leader in underclassman Amber Grelle, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. Grelle hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Natalie Seider, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Sidney's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Priddy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season.
Sidney does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Priddy, they will take on Brookesmith at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Priddy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Tuesday.
