Heritage entered their tilt with Sonoraville on Saturday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They came out on top against the Phoenix by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Generals, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

While Heritage won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-17.

Kara Smith paced Heritage's offense, picking up seven kills. Smith got some help from Madison Sertel and her 21 assists. Mariah Evans controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Heritage's win bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Sonoraville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-7.
