The Blue Springs Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They fell to Belton 47-43. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Blue Springs of the 64-57 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2023.
Kordell Williams continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Belton, almost dropping a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds. Cooper Shrum was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with two steals and two blocks.
Blue Springs' loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Belton, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-14 record this season.
Blue Springs will head out on the road to challenge the Bluejays at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Belton, they will be playing at home against the Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
