The Lee Generals's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. 2024 welcomed they with a 89-69 loss courtesy of Sports Leadership & Management. Despite running the score up even higher than they did last Friday (61), Lee still had to take the loss.
Sports Leadership & Management's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ramone Seals, who scored 32 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Seals has scored at least 25% of Sports Leadership & Management's points. Another player making a difference was Willie Piggott, who went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 26 points and 3 assists.
Lee's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Sports Leadership & Management, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lee will take on Buckhorn at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Buckhorn knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matches -- so hopefully Lee likes a good challenge. Sports Leadership & Management won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Central at 6:30 p.m. on January 5th. Central is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
