The Fort Bend Bush Broncos were the 42-7 winner over the Fort Bend Austin Bulldogs when they last played one another back in October of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Fort Bend Bush fell 14-7 to Fort Bend Austin on Thursday. Fort Bend Bush has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fort Bend Austin to victory, but perhaps none more so than David Bishop, who rushed for 133 yards and two touchdowns. Bishop was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 53 yards. Another player making a difference was Koen Herrmann, who rushed for 102 yards on only 14 carries.
Fort Bend Bush's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Fort Bend Austin, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fort Bend Bush will face off against Fort Bend Travis at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Fort Bend Travis presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Fort Bend Bush in Texas (Fort Bend Travis is ranked 280th, while Fort Bend Bush is ranked 729th). As for Fort Bend Austin, they will head out on the road to face off against Fort Bend Hightower at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
