Milan is 8-2 against Flat Rock since October of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Milan Big Reds are on the road again and play against the Flat Rock Rams at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Friday, Milan was fully in charge, breezing past Skyline 49-19 on the road. The win was just what Milan needed coming off of a 55-13 loss in their prior contest.
William Gaskell v had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 191 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries, and also threw for 105 yards and two touchdowns on only six passes. Lukas Linzell was in the mix as well, providing Milan with three touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Flat Rock put the finishing touches on their fourth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They breezed by Clarenceville at home to the tune of 61-26. Given Flat Rock's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 150th, while Clarenceville is ranked 373rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Their wins bumped Milan to 4-5 and Flat Rock to 6-3.
Milan suffered a grim 42-21 defeat to Flat Rock in their previous matchup back in September. Can Milan avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
