The Seymour Indians lost against the Griggsville-Perry Tornadoes back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Seymour had to suffer through a rough 60-32 loss at the hands of Griggsville-Perry. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Seymour has scored all season.
Griggsville-Perry's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Logan Fencik led the charge by scoring five points along with 13 steals and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Myers, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds.
Seymour's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-18. As for Griggsville-Perry, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 23-5 record this season.
Seymour will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Macomb at 7:30 p.m. Macomb is coming into the match with six straight victories on the road, so Seymour is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum. As for Griggsville-Perry, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 67-15 win vs. Lutheran on the 10th.
