Blanche Ely suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Wednesday. They were dealt a 74-39 loss at the hands of Pembroke Pines Charter. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Blanche Ely has scored all season.
Lakeland aren't just finding sucess at home, as their game on Tuesday extended their overall winning streak to three. They strolled past Auburndale with points to spare, taking the game 58-41. Given Lakeland's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while Auburndale is ranked 440th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Young was his usual excellent self, scoring ten points along with six rebounds and six steals. Another player making a difference was Ben Bemer, who scored nine points along with ten rebounds.
Blanche Ely's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Lakeland, their win bumped their record up to 13-2.
