The Hillcrest Patriots won the last time they faced the Hewitt-Trussville Huskies, and things went their way on Monday too. Hillcrest came out on top against Hewitt-Trussville by a score of 47-39. The win made it back-to-back wins for Hillcrest.
Hillcrest's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nyeishia Davis led the charge by scoring 11 points. Blakeley Nixon was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 5 rebounds.
Hillcrest has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Hewitt-Trussville, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-3 record this season.
Hillcrest won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Shades Valley at 6:00 p.m. on November 28th. Shades Valley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 135th, while Hillcrest is ranked 13th). Hewitt-Trussville is on the road again on Friday and play against Ramsay at 6:00 p.m. on December 1st.
