Alexa Hawrot was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI.

In other batting news, Allen Park let Hannah Ward and Lilli Acker run wild. Ward went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one double, and one RBI, while Acker went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most runs Acker has posted over her last five matches. Kiley Carr was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one run.
Meanwhile, Taylor came up short against Trenton on Monday and fell 6-2.
Taylor saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madelynn Waddell ?26, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Allen Park's win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Taylor, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-5.
Taylor's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Allen Park has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .451. It's a different story for Taylor, though, as they've only averaged .361. Will they be able to contain Allen Park's hitters?
