Baseball Recap: Ridgeview's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Ridgeview waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against the Fleming Island Golden Eagles. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 1-0 win the Golden Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Waylon Smith looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in nine consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Ridgeview saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jachob Kaplitz, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Ridgeview's record is now 8-10. As for Fleming Island, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

Ridgeview will head out to square off against Menendez at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fleming Island, they will face off against Beachside at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
