Shorecrest Prep suffered their biggest loss since November 28, 2023 on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a rough 34-6 loss at the hands of Braden River.
Meanwhile, even though Boca Ciega scored an imposing 58 points on Tuesday, Countryside still came out on top. Countryside skirted past Boca Ciega 61-58. Given Countryside's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 174th, while Boca Ciega is ranked 363rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Shorecrest Prep's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Countryside, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
