Salmon River has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Tri-Valley Titans at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Saturday, things could have been worse for Salmon River, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 68-52 loss to Horseshoe Bend. Salmon River has struggled against Horseshoe Bend recently, as their matchup on Saturday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Tri-Valley suffered their biggest loss since December 6, 2023 last Friday. They were beaten by Garden Valley 62-33. While losing is never fun, Tri-Valley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 125th, while Garden Valley is ranked 40th).
Salmon River bumped their record down to 0-6 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight at home. As for Tri-Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.
Salmon River lost to Tri-Valley on the road by a decisive 60-46 margin in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can Salmon River avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
