Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead New Hanover to victory, but perhaps none more so than Rodmik Allen, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 14 points in addition to six assists and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Zeus Batts, who went 6 for 11 on his way to 14 points in addition to six assists and six steals.
New Hanover smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in 12 consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Ashley can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They snuck past West Brunswick with a 47-42 win.
New Hanover better keep an eye on Quinn Bentley. He was instrumental in Ashley's win, going 7 of 16 on his way to 16 points and three steals. What's more, Bentley also racked up four boards, the most he's had since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Avery Saffo, who posted eight points.
New Hanover has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 80.9 points per game. As for Ashley, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-7.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: New Hanover has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 35.1 boards per game. However, it's not like Ashley struggles in that department as they've been averaging 27.2 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
