Sesser-Valier/Waltonville posted their biggest victory since December 20, 2023 on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Steeleville with a sharp 49-27 win. Sesser-Valier/Waltonville pushed the score to 37-17 by the end of the third, a deficit Steeleville had little chance of recovering from.
The win makes it two in a row for Johnston City and bumps their season record up to 13-11. As for Sesser-Valier/Waltonville, their win bumped their record up to 9-12.
Johnston City didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Sesser-Valier/Waltonville in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 48-42 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Johnston City since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
