Yucca Valley moved up to 789 from 864 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in De Anza. The Trojans climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Desert Mirage 24-13.
Shadow Hills and Twentynine Palms played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Shadow Hills eventually emerging with a 13-7 victory. James Toland ran for 192 yards in the win.
Desert Hot Springs's Steven Steed and Ace Lewis have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Steed has thrown for 1251 yards this season, while Lewis has 28 catches for 553 yards. The Knights' Toland leads the league in rushing yards with 1945.
The top two teams in De Anza will face off this week when first place Big Bear takes on second place Yucca Valley. Big Bear last week, while Yucca Valley topped Desert Mirage.
Tim Cannavo's team made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,924 from 11,958. The advance stemmed from a 24-13 victory over Ron Alford's team last week.
