The Southwestern Spartans's game last Thursday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 73-43 win over Indiana School for the Deaf at home. That 30 point margin sets a new team best for Southwestern this season.
Indiana School for the Deaf lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jayden DeFalco, who scored 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamiroquai Pickney, who scored five points along with seven rebounds.
Southwestern's win bumped their record up to 2-14. As for Indiana School for the Deaf, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-5.
Southwestern will stay at home for another game and welcome Morristown at 7:30 p.m. on February 8th. Southwestern is facing Morristown at the right time seeing as Morristown is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Indiana School for the Deaf, they will head out on the road to square off against Pioneer at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Indiana School for the Deaf focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Tuesday.
