Oxford Prep can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Eno River as Oxford Prep made off with a 61-35 victory. Given Oxford Prep's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 295th, while Eno River is ranked 629th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Henderson Collegiate fought the good fight in their overtime match against Voyager on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 67-64. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Oxford Prep has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for Henderson Collegiate, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season.
Oxford Prep was dealt a bruising 84-46 defeat at the hands of Henderson Collegiate in their previous meeting back in February of 2023.
