After flying high against Ashton-Franklin Center on Tuesday, the LaMoille/Ohio Lions came back down to earth. It was a hard-fought contest, but LaMoille/Ohio had to settle for a 54-44 defeat against the St. Bede Bruins on Wednesday. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as St. Bede apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played, back in February of last year.
LaMoille/Ohio's loss pushed them down to 17-9. The win bumped the Bruins' record up to 10-18.
LaMoille/Ohio will stay at home against Somonauk on Friday. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps rankings project a close matchup. As for St. Bede, they will go up against Erie-Prophetstown on Friday. Unlike St. Bede, Erie-Prophetstown will be limping in after taking a loss.
