The Bloomington Bruins will face off against the Vista del Lago Ravens at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Bloomington's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Vista del Lago has been banged up by eight consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
Bloomington is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Perris on Thursday as they made off with a 15-1 win. While the Bruins didn't have the best season last year (they finished 3-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Stacy Lopez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). Those nine strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, Kathia Rosas was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to triples, as she's now hit at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Izabella Reyes, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Bloomington kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Vista del Lago scored first but ultimately less than San Bernardino in their matchup on Wednesday. They lost 12-2 to the Cardinals.
Aaliyah Mares was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run. Lily Perez also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Vista del Lago's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Bloomington, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.
Bloomington came out on top in a nail-biter against Vista del Lago in their previous meeting back in February of 2025, sneaking past 19-18. Will the Bruins repeat their success, or do the Ravens have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
