Tucker was successful in their previous meeting against Mt. Zion, and they didn't afford Mt. Zion any payback this time around. The Tigers put the hurt on Mt. Zion with a sharp 34-6 win. The success made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.
The Tigers started the contest off right with 27 first-half points. Meanwhile, the Bulldogs couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 27 to nothing heading into the break. The Tucker defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 6 and all but finishing the matchup.
Tucker's victory brought them up to 6-3. The Bulldogs are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
Tucker is hunkering down at home again for their game against Stephenson next week. Tucker is at home for the matchup, a silver lining they hope will compensate for their disadvantage in the MaxPreps. As for Mt. Zion, they do not have any more games currently scheduled.
