Mission recap Nov. 7, 2012
Chaminade extended the longest winning streak in Mission this week by beating Cathedral, 62-26. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
Chaminade took down the Phantoms 62-26 last week, the largest margin of any game.
St. Francis's dynamic duo of Jared Lebowitz and John Carroll proved tough for St. Paul to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Lebowitz threw for 190 yards and five touchdowns and Carroll had 72 yards receiving. Matthew Gonzalez helped St. Francis' passing attack out by catching two balls for 38 yards.
Jalen Greene provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Serra beat Harvard-Westlake. He completed 11 passes for 155 yards and also ran for 55 yards. Greene's favorite target this week was Gregory Webb, who caught two passes for 45 yards.
Malik Roberson was the most productive running back in the league this week. In eight carries, he ran for 167 yards as the Cavaliers defeated the Swordsmen. Teammate Marques Rodgers added to the ground attack by rushing for 109 yards.
The Wolverines' Chad Kanoff and Clinton Hooks have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Kanoff has thrown for 2990 yards this season, while Hooks, a 6-foot-5 receiver, has 64 catches for 895 yards. Terrell Newby from Ed Croson's team leads the league in rushing with 1218 yards.
The Eagles led Mission in scoring this week after putting up 62 points on Cathedral.
