The Austin Mustangs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 45-44 to Northside. Austin was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Northside apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2023.
Austin's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Northside, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Austin will take on Madison at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Northside, they will be playing at home against Milby at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Milby focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Wednesday.
