Fans got a thrill when Cameron Greenough and Ben Sehl connected against Monta Vista. The connection went for 94 yards, the longest such play in Peninsula - Bay this season.
Terra Nova moved up to 159 from 275 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Tigers climbed the ranks as a result of beating St. Ignatius 50-33.
Terra Nova's dynamic duo of Anthony Gordon and Jaylen Jones proved to be unstoppable against the Wildcats, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Gordon threw for 403 yards and 3 touchdowns and Jones had 256 yards receiving. Nick Pierotti helped Terra Nova's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 76 yards.
Bill Gray's team's dynamic duo of Gordon and Jones proved tough for St. Ignatius to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Gordon put up the best numbers in passing as the Tigers beat John Regalia's team.
Isiah Nash was the best running back in the league this week. He ran for 176 yards on 26 carries as Menlo-Atherton topped the Wildcats. Brian Jaggers also contributed to the rushing game with 20 yards on the ground.
Jones had a great week catching the football as the Tigers bested St. Ignatius.
Ben Burr-Kirven made the biggest impact on defense this week as Sacred Heart Prep beat Mountain View. The 6-foot-1 junior.
Jones was the best wideout in Peninsula - Bay this week as Terra Nova bested the Wildcats.
The Tigers' Gordon and Jones have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-2 quarterback Gordon has thrown for 765 yards this season, while Jones has 16 catches for 403 yards. The Bears' Nash leads the league in rushing yards with 251.
South San Francisco and Capuchino played the closest game in the league this week, with South San Francisco eventually emerging with a 23-22 victory.
