There's no place like home for the Pamlico County Hurricanes, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Thursday. They secured a 56-50 W over East Bladen on Friday.
Pamlico County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jayden Williams led the charge by going 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 20 points and 1 assists. The contest was Williams 's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Koby Lane, who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds.
The victory got Pamlico County back to even at 6-6. As for East Bladen, their loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 6-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pamlico County will take on Northside - Pinetown at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Northside - Pinetown focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Wednesday. As for East Bladen, they will be playing in front of their home fans against East Columbus at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. East Columbus will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 538th, while East Bladen is ranked 245th).
