Lincoln had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.8 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Valdosta Wildcats 49-47. This was payback for the Trojans, who suffered a 63-47 loss the last time these two teams met.

Despite the loss, Valdosta still got an impressive performance from Shakaya Hines, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 15 rebounds. Valdosta is 8-1 when Hines posts eight or more rebounds, but 0-5 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Caitlyn Williams, who posted seven points and three steals.

Lincoln's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Valdosta, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-6.

Lincoln wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 57-46 victory against Thomasville on the 28th. As for Valdosta, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 77-30 win against Worth County on the 28th.
