Two dominant guards in Mya Jiminez and Keira Frias are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Cranston East Thunderbolts will head out on the road to face off against the Chariho Chargers at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Cranston East will be strutting in after a win while Chariho will be coming in after a loss.
Cranston East had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took their contest on the road on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 64-32 win over Woonsocket. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Cranston East has posted yet this season.

Meanwhile, Chariho faced Moses Brown in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Chariho fell 54-43 to Moses Brown on Tuesday. Chariho has not had much luck with Moses Brown recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Cranston East's victory ended a nine-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-11. As for Chariho, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-3.
Cranston East beat Chariho 52-44 in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cranston East since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
