The result was an unpleasant reminder to McKean of the 48-46 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2023.
When it comes to explaining why McKean lost, one person who can't be blamed is Alexis Barlow. Despite the final result, she scored 23 points along with six steals. That was a full 46.9% of McKean's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Dolores Samson was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight rebounds.
McKean's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-8. As for MOT Charter, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-8.
McKean will challenge Odessa at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for MOT Charter, they will be playing at home against Archmere Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Archmere Academy is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games.
