The Brevard Blue Devils's four-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They walked away with a 75-64 victory over T.C. Roberson. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Brevard's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tre Crite, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Crite has scored at least 25% of Brevard's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Griffin, who scored 16 points along with seven assists and three steals.
Brevard's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-5. As for T.C. Roberson, they bumped their record down to 2-5 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Brevard and Veritas Christian Academy will round out the year against one another at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday at. Veritas Christian Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Brevard in North Carolina (Veritas Christian Academy is ranked 103rd, while Brevard is ranked 485th). T.C. Roberson will be home for the holidays to greet Tuscola at 5:15 p.m. on Saturday. Tuscola is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
